This Bronte project showcases the highest level of craftsmanship using premium standing seam aluminium roofing and fascia panelling supplied by CASA Systems in Dolphin Grey. Every component was selected specifically for the harsh coastal environment—where salt, moisture, and wind demand materials engineered for longevity.
To support the curved architectural design, we integrated Solitex Adhero membranes, custom folded flashings, curved fascia profiles, 150mm half-round aluminium gutters, and stainless steel fasteners. Each element was chosen for durability and visual consistency, ensuring a refined and modern coastal façade.
The seamless application of these finishes showcases our team’s ability to deliver precision work on complex architectural forms while maintaining exceptional build quality.
This installation came with several technically demanding aspects, beginning with the requirement for 15m-long aluminium sheets, which had to be rolled on site due to difficult access and the need for uninterrupted lines. The building’s façade is fully curved, requiring the roofing and fascia panels to bend perfectly with the architectural shape—something standard sheet metal simply cannot achieve without specialist machinery and expertise.
To achieve the architect’s vision of a completely capping-free design, we were required to engineer a custom slip-jointed curved fascia flashing, as well as scalloped folded-edge standing seam fascia panelling.
Each piece needed to lock together seamlessly while remaining watertight in a high-exposure environment.
Compounding the challenge was the project’s high-visibility location along Bronte’s busy coastal strip, meaning the finish had to be flawless from every angle. Precision workmanship was essential, as every detail is on display to hundreds of passers-by daily.
Our team developed a specialised installation plan tailored to the curved façade and extreme length of the aluminium sheets. Using on-site rolling machinery, we produced continuous 15m standing seam panels that aligned perfectly with the building’s geometry.
The custom slip-jointed fascia flashing was engineered specifically to follow the exact radius of the façade, ensuring watertight integrity without interrupting the flowing architectural line. We then fabricated scalloped folded-edge fascia panels, eliminating the need for barge capping and achieving a clean, uninterrupted finish from roof plane to fascia.
All components were secured using stainless steel fasteners, with aluminium gutters and CASA Systems materials providing the structural performance necessary for coastal conditions. The result is a contemporary, visually striking exterior that meets the highest standards of durability and design.
This project seamlessly merges performance, aesthetics, and advanced roofing engineering to enhance the home’s coastal character. The interaction between curved aluminium surfaces, seamless fascia detailing, and high-performance membranes creates a breathable, watertight roofing envelope built for decades of exposure to sea air and heavy weather.
The scalloped standing seam fascia and uninterrupted roof lines contribute to a sleek, sculptural appearance that sets the home apart in a high-traffic beachfront setting. With each carefully crafted detail working in harmony, the finished result is not just a roof—it is a coastal architectural statement admired by locals and visitors alike.
